Hello, World!

It has been a long and strange year for this procrastinating blogger. Shortly after my last post on Obama World more than a year ago, I was summoned to my boss’s boss’s [is that the correct way to use a possessive? ENGRISH no good] office early one morning for reasons unbeknownst to me at that time. Okay I thought this was kinda early for a meeting. When he told me to shut the door,I had more than a sneaking suspicion that he was not going to tell me that I was the newly promoted Director of Product Management. In fact, it was quite the opposite. In the most polite manner possible, he basically told me to pack my stuff and GTFO. Of course there was the obligatory thank you for al your efforts we really wish we could’ve kept you spiel, but in the end, incase you haven’t guessed it by now, I was laid off. As I walked out of his office with a slight quiver to my lips, i felt eerily calm - detached. I almost didn’t notice the commotion all around me. When I snapped to I realized what was going on. This was D DAY. Folks left and right were given pink slips like it was going out of style. After a few almost teary good-byes to some hotties around the office who were suspiciously spared the reapers sickel, i picked up my box of belongings and left. Great, more time for blogging i thought. Well, we all know how that turned out…

Stay tuned for a new direction…

Super Obama World

Blast through Super Obama World as our new President-Elect Barrack Obama! Collect American Flags for points, but watch out for pigs with lipsticks and greedy white bankers trying to derail your quest to the White House…Don’t forget to take the Bridge to Nowhere to Alaska!

Based on the wildly popular Nintendo games of the 80’s and early 90’s, the folks at Zensoft have created a pretty compelling remake of the game with playable levels based on the 2008 Presidential election. Didn’t get a chance to play it much but I wonder if Joe Biden will make an appearance as Luigi? What about Mcain?

GOP Chat Room Strategery

Now that the election season has come and gone, most of us in the free world can breath a sigh of relief and look forward to a change of leadership in the White House after 8 egocentrically misguided years of George W. Bush. Love him or hate him, the popular opinion was that he had single-handedly destroyed America’s image and standing in the world through his blinders approach to foreign policy. We can truly say that Change will be coming. Just have to wait until next year.

So what next for the GOP now that there is a Democratically controlled House and Senate along with an upcoming Democratic President? Many pundits have mentioned a possible run by Sarah Palin in 2012 but will she be able to keep the momentum that she has created this year? or more importantly will she be able to repair her tattered image from botched Bushism-laced TV interviews amongst mainstream voters? Only time will tell. In this bloggers opinion there is a snowballs chance in the deep dark depths of hell before she becomes President. So where does that leave the Republican party? Take a look at this recently obtained chat room conversation amongst the power brokers of the party and see what they’re “strategerizing”.

Funny Halloween Customes 2008

Another example of the Internet permeating into the real world, a couple decided to dress up as America’s favorite online pedophile bear and his potential victim this Halloween. Pretty creative idea but takes a bit of explaining to the non-web geeks! You can picture the conversation going:

Pedobear costume dude: “Uh this is a costume of a bear that REALLY likes little children in THAT way.”

Confused party-goer: “Dude, WTF?”

Epic Pedobear costume.

Epic Pedobear costume.

In a totally unrelated note, the second most creative costume goes to…..

Someone decided to dress up his daughter as an under-aged Chinese gymnast! Pretty clever if I do say so myself. Mere info here on his blog.

If Terry Tate Worked in Advertising…

Terry Tate, the fictional lead character in Reebok’s 2003 Superbowl ad campaign had people buzzing the next day about the ferociousness yet hilarious nature in which he dealt with everyday office annoyances. In the ad slots, Tate (with the appropriate job title, Office Linebacker) was shown roaming around the office pulverizing unsuspecting employees with vicious tackles for transgressions like “forgetting to refill the coffee pot”. For some reason while reading the following faux product advertising pages, I thought of Terry Tate and his intensity. If he worked in advertising, the following would pretty much be his creative output. [warning for extremely crude language].
